What can we say about Fabulous Fred? He's handsome, he's affectionate, he's smart, and he's a big clown. Fred just turned four and he has had a mighty inauspicious recent history. Perhaps you saw him on television? He was found wandering the streets of Boston until a Good Samaritan took him in and got him the requisite veterinary care. In an effort to locate his owner he was showcased on the news for several days and appeared in the newspaper as well as on the internet. But, alas, no one came forward. The reality is that some fool dumped him. We can't imagine why because he's really a great guy. In his travels around the city he sustained a leg injury, likely in a losing confrontation with a car (a flesh wound, not a broken bone). His leg has completely healed and though we've thoroughly enjoyed having him underfoot here at Camp Saint Rescue, it's time for him to move on to a home of his own. He's a confident boy who will probably thrive as an only dog or maybe with a VERY submissive female dog. We don't know how he'll do with cats. He's vaccinated, neutered, housetrained, microchipped, and he's negative for heartworm and three common tickborne illnesses. We on't let Fred down like his original owners did, and we'll be picky about where he goes. He'd like a fenced yard and a human who will keep him safe forever. No more roaming for this boy.
